Championship Week

We are almost to the end of the season...very bittersweet.

#22 Texas @ #17 Baylor
These 2 teams are complete opposites. Texas is very physical and defensive minded and will bruise you up. Baylor will spread you out and use speed to fly past you in open lanes. Will the game be physical? or A shootout? I think that Texas will make this game a very physical one and there defense will make big plays to contain the lethal RGIII.
TEXAS 27 BAYLOR 20

C-USA Championship
#24 Southern Miss. vs. #6 Houston
Houston can score at will. I expect a close game at the start, but eventually Houston will wear them down. I like Houston in this game.
HOUSTON 41 SO. MISS 30

PAC 12 Championship
UCLA vs. #9 Oregon
Oregon is the obvious favorite, no doubt. But UCLA will be playing for there coach that just got fired. At the end of the day Oregon is just overwhelming on Offense.
OREGON 45 UCLA 13

ACC Championship Game
#5 Virginia Tech vs. #20 Clemson
V-Tech is white hot right now. The have the best RB in the country that nobody talks about. I really like the Hokies to get revenge on Clemson from the loss earlier this season.
VIRGINIA TECH 31 CLEMSON 20

Big 10 Championship Game
#15 Wisconsin vs. #13 Michigan St.
MSU beat Wisconsin earlier this year on a Hail Mary pass. Wisconsin will be looking to get the bad taste out of there mouth. And I think they will.
WISCONSIN 34 MICHIGAN ST. 28

#10 Oklahoma @ #3 Oklahoma St.
The Cowboys haven't won this game in what seems like ages. They still have an outside shot to get into the Championship game. This game being played in Stillwater makes a big difference. Oklahoma St. in a shootout.
OKLAHOMA ST 49 OKLAHOMA 45

THE JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!
SEC Championship Game
#14 Georgia  vs. #1 LSU
This game will be in Atlanta, GA. The Georgia faithful will show up. LSU will play for a title no matter if they win or lose. I think Georgia will come out hungry and get the upset. No worries LSU fans you will still play in the title game.
GEORGIA 24 LSU 20

BONUS PICK- WICHITA FALLS RIDER VS. MIDWAY
As most of ya'll know I am a student at Midway HS. The winner of this game will be 1 win away from state. As you can imagine Midway High School is extremely excited for this game. I gotta pick my beloved Midway Panthers in this game.

Week 13 Predictions

The JFish Rivalry Week Special
What's up guys! What a week last week! It sets up a great rivalry week.

Florida St. @ Florida
Florida State has been a big disappointment this year. I still think that they are a very good football team. Florida has fallen of off the College Football map. I like the Seminoles on the road.
FLORIDA ST. 35 FLORIDA 32

Texas Tech @ #18 Baylor
WOW! That's the only word needed to describe RGIII. He sure knows how to put on a show. He is a straight up man. Tech? Ya they aren't looking too hot at all. I'm taking the Bears.
BAYLOR 43 TEXAS TECH 24

#5 Virginia Tech @ Virginia
Virginia Tech is on the rise. They are on a path to  BCS bowl game if they take care of business.Bottom line is Virginia is irrelevant in College Football.
VIRGINIA TECH 31 VIRGINIA 17

UCLA @ USC
It's the battle of Los Angeles. USC looked impressive last Saturday vs. Oregon. Matt Barkeley is one of the best QBs in the country. I think USC will pick up where they left off. UCLA doesn't stand a chance.
USC 40 UCLA 20

Ohio St. @ #15 Michigan
Michigan is looking to get to a BCS bowl game, while OSU is just trying to secure a bowl.
I like Michigan to snag a win from there arch-rivals.
MICHIGAN 32 OHIO ST 21

#19 Penn St. @ #16 Wisconsin
Penn St has a shot to win if the make this a grind it out type game. But Wisconsin will spread them out. Wisconsin has the best RB in the country. Badgers win.
WISCONSIN 42 PENN ST 17

#22 Notre Dame @ #6 Stanford
Andrew Luck is the QB for Stanford. I think that's all that needs to be said. Give me Stanford.
STANFORD 45 NOTRE DAME 20

#25 Texas @ Texas A&M
Both teams are looking a little confused on the field. It is very difficult to play in Kyle Field. My brain says to pick the Aggies at home. But....as most of you know I have grown up in a Texas house hold. I just can't pick against the Longhorns.
TEXAS 27 TEXAS A&M 21

#13 Georgia @ #23 Georgia Tech
G Tech can score at will. Georgia can win this game easily. But they just have to avoid looking ahed to the SEC Championship game. Georgia is an all around better team. This will be fun to watch.
GEORGIA 30 GEORGIA TECH 28

#17 Clemson @ #12 South Carolina
South Carolina has an amazing defense. Clemson has seemed to fall off the face of the earth. I like SC at home.
SOUTH CAROLINA 27 CLEMSON 17

#2 Alabama @ #24 Auburn
The Iron Bowl. Alabama is the better team by far. But anything can happen. I still like Bama to roll.
ALABAMA 24 AUBURN 21

THE JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
#3 Arkansas @ #1 LSU
LSU is so talented. The crowd will be rockin' Friday in Baton Rouge. But this rivalry has seen some strange stuff the past few years. Arkansas has won the last 3 of 4 vs. the Tigers. LSU has a great secondary, but Arkansas can counter. Arkansas in my opinion fields the best WRs in the country. I really feel that Tyler Wilson will go into LSU and get the win. WOOOO PIG SOOIE! GO HOGS GO!
ARKANSAS 34 LSU 32

The JFish Heisman Ballot

The Heisman race is getting very interesting. I'd like to share my Heisman ballot as of right now.

1. Robert Griffin III- Baylor QB
2. Trent Richardson-Alabama RB
3. Andrew Luck- Stanford QB
4. Case Keenum- Houston QB
5. David Wilson- Virginia Tech RB

There is still a lot of football to be played though. Anything could happen.

Week 12 Predictions

Hey guys! I think we are starting to see teams start to unfold. The month of November is crucial to every team.

Texas Tech @ Missouri
Texas Tech has seemed to fall apart. It makes you question if Tommy Tuberville is truly the guy in Lubbock. On the other hand Mizzou looked good against Texas last week. Texas Tech's struggles continue.
MIZZOU 31 TEXAS TECH 20

North Carolina @ #8 Virginia Tech
Va. Tech is trying to get a BCS Bowl game bid. I really think UNC has potential to pull the upset. But eventually the Hokies get the win.
VIRGINIA TECH 35 NORTH CAROLINA 34

Mississippi St. @ #6 Arkansas
Arkansas is HOT. Mississippi State is NOT. I just worry Arkansas will look ahead to LSU. But the Hogs should take care of business.
ARKANSAS 47 MISSISSIPPI STATE 21

USC @ #4 Oregon
This is a bowl game to USC. The only reason I'm not pulling the upset trigger is the fact that the game is in Autzen Stadium. Im going Ducks.
OREGON 51 USC 49

SMU @ #11 Houston
Case Keenum, Case Keenum, Case Keenum. Is there a record that he doesn't hold? I'm taking the Coogs.
HOUSTON 42 SMU 31

#5 Oklahoma @ #22 Baylor
Oklahoma is playing very nicely. They can't overlook Baylor or else they will find themselves gettting slapped around by RGIII. OU is just the better all around team.
OKLAHOMA 52 BAYLOR 45

THE JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
#13 Kansas State @ #23 Texas
I think KSU will come out flat after the 4OT thriller vs. Tx A&M. I think Texas will come out inspired on Senior Night. Texas Fight!
TEXAS 31 KANSAS STATE 20

#16 Nebraska @ #18 Michigan
This is a huge Big 10 game. The winner puts themselves in good position to win the division. I really think Nebraska is playing some good football. But I think Michigan gets it done at home.
MICHIGAN 35 NEBRASKA 27

Week 11 Predictions

What's up guys! I went a perfect 8-0 last week! Let's see how week 11 goes.

Tennessee @ #7 Arkansas
The Hogs are just sitting the middle of the SEC West hunt with an 8-1 record. Despite LSU being #1, Arkansas is still eyeing the SEC Championship game. I see Arkansas continuing to roll. Woo Pig Sooie all day!
ARKANSAS 41 TENNESSEE 17

#16 Texas @ Mizzou
Texas has seemed to have hit there stride. The run game is unreal. I feel Texas picks up where they left off after giving Tech a slapping. Texas continues to impress in a tight game.
TEXAS 31 MIZZOU 28

#20 Auburn @ #15 Georgia
Georgia is on a straight path to an SEC East Championship. Georgia has got to keep on winning. And I think that's what they will do.
GEORGIA 30 AUBURN 24

Texas A&M @ #14 Kansas State
Both teams have lost 2 straight. I feel K-State will get it done at home. The Wildcats have a way of finding a way to win.
KANSAS STATE 40 TEXAS A&M 38

THE JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK
TCU @ #5 Boise State
This is still the same TCU team that won the Rose Bowl a year ago. I think Boise is starting to realize that they wont be playing for the title. I see the Horned Frogs pulling the upset.
TCU 45 BOISE STATE 41

#19 Nebraska @ #12 Penn State
Penn State has a bunch of distractions around the University right now. This is a huge test for Penn State to see if they can overcome adversity. I feel they will have their minds on other things.
NEBRASKA 17 PENN ST 9

#2 Oklahoma State @ Texas Tech
This could be a trap game for Oklahoma St. I can really see a Tech upset if this was a night game. But Oklahoma State survives by a thread and a needle.
OKLAHOMA ST 49 TEXAS TECH 48

#7 Oregon @ #4 Stanford
Stanford will have no home field advantage. All of the Stanford students will be more concerned about studying for the Calculus Test than beating Oregon (which isn't a bad thing). I see Oregon wearing down Stanford with speed. Oregon will go into Palo Alto and pick up a win.
OREGON 56 STANFORD 49

Thursday, November 3, 2011

Week 10 predictions

This could end up being the best weekend this whole College Football season. We have some great games for us to feast on.

#8 Oregon @ Washington
Oregon is just waiting to get a shot at Stanford. As long as they don't look past the Huskies, then they should win easily.
OREGON 52 WASHINGTON 38

Missouri @ Baylor
This will be a really good game. Mizzou could come out flat after that OT win over A&M. RGIII is just flat out a stud.
BAYLOR 48 MIZZOU 41

JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
#15 Michigan @ Iowa
I really do not feel that Michigan is deserving of the #15 ranking. This game being played in Iowa makes the difference.
IOWA 31 MICHIGAN 28

Texas Tech @ #21 Texas
Texas ran for 441 yds. Saturday night. In Texas Tech's 3 losses on the season they have given up an average of 255.3 yds per game. I expect the Horns to run the ball early and often, taking pressure off of David Ash. I'm taking the Longhorns.
TEXAS 31 TEXAS TECH 21

#14 Kansas State @ #3 Oklahoma St.
We finally got to see what K State was made of after the took a whipping from Oklahoma. Oklahoma St. is still eyeing the National Championship.
OKLAHOMA ST 47 KANSAS ST 31

#9 South Carolina @ #7 Arkansas
This is the other top 10 clash nobody is talking about. South Carolina has great defense whereas Arkansas has a dynamite offense. Arkansas has gotten off to slow starts the last 2 weeks. I see Arkansas to avoid that vs the Gamecocks.
ARKANSAS 38 SOUTH CAROLINA 13

Texas A&M @ #6 Oklahoma
Oklahoma has made a nice bounce back after the shocker vs. Tech. Oklahoma's offense will have A&M breathing heavily the whole game.
OKLAHOMA 41 TEXAS A&M 30

#1 LSU @ #2 Alabama
The game the whole country has been counting down to is finally here! Many people are calling this game "The game of the century". This game will be a back and forth all 60 minutes. It's almost impossible to pick, but I will go LSU.
LSU 20 ALABAMA 17

Baylor @ #3 Oklahoma St.
OSU is eyeing the national title. I think they get one step closer.

#22 Georgia @ Florida
This is a pivotal game in the SEC East. Florida just doesn't get it done for me. I like Georgia in this game.
Georgia 24 Florida 17

This game is in Nebraska. Thats the game changer.
Nebraska 41 Michigan St 31

#5 Clemson @ Georgia Tech
Clemson will keep on rolling.
Clemson 41 Georgia Tech 35

Im taking Mizzou in a mini upset.
Mizzou 31 Texas A&M 30

South Carolina @ Tennessee
South Carolina is too much.
Carolina 35 Tenn. 20

#9 OU @ #8 K State
Oklahoma will come out with pride after the Tech loss.
Oklahoma 41 Kansas St. 37

JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!

Shout out to my boy Addison (He is a USC fan). USC will crush the hearts of Stanford.

Week 8 Predictions

What's up guys?! It's time to make my predictions on the week 8 games. I went 7-1 last week, so let's see what this weekends slate of games has for us.

#9 Arkansas @ Ole Miss
The Hogs are the best one loss team in the nation. Ole Miss? They are just trying to not look stupid out on the field. I see the Razorbacks laying a smack down on the Rebels. Woo Pig Sooie all day.
Arkansas 41 Ole Miss 13

USC @ Notre Dame
Notre Dame has come into full form lately. USC is playing very well. This game will be a back and forth type game. This game being played in South Bend makes the difference.
Notre Dame 27 USC 24

North Carolina @ #7 Clemson
Clemson is undefeated. UNC? Not so much. Many critics are just waiting for Clemson to fall. Well, it's not happening here. I'm going Clemson.
Clemson 34 North Carolina 14

Missouri @ #4 Oklahoma St.
Mizzou hasn't lived up to their pre season hype. Oklahoma St. is looking like a serious title contender. OSU is too much at home.
Oklahoma St. 41 Mizzou 20

#25 Washington @ #8 Stanford
This is a tricky game. Don't be surprised to look at the scoreboard and see Washington winning. But ultimately Andrew Luck will get the W.
Stanford 31 Washington 30

#20 Auburn @ # 1 LSU
LSU will be playing without the Honey Badger and Ware. But seriously, Who is Auburn's QB???
LSU is too dominant.
LSU 27 Auburn 13

Tennessee @ #2 Alabama
Bottom Line Tennessee is bad. Alabama is good. Alabama will get somewhere around 1878 sacks this game. Alabama wins easy.
Alabama 47 Tennessee 17

JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
#6 Wisconsin @ #16 Michigan St.
Wisconsin is great! Russell Wilson could be the best QB in the country. Wisconsin is an elite team this year, eyeing the National Championship. With all that being said, Michigan St. will break the Wisconsin hearts. Upset City baby!
Michigan St. 34 Wisconsin 27

So....enjoy the games!

Week 7 Predictions

Hey guys! Last week I went 5-3 in my predictions. I can do much better. So without further a do here are my picks.

#1 LSU @ Tennessee
Tennessee will be without their starting QB Tyler Bray. LSU looks to be on a mission for the National Championship. Tennessee fans will be entergized playing at home. But I still think that LSU is just too much.
LSU 34 Tenn. 17

#2 Alabama @ Ole Miss
I would love the Rebels to pull the upset! But let's be honest Ole Miss is awful. And Alabama is just unreal. Alabama wins this one with ease.
Alabama 41 Ole Miss 9

#17 Kansas State @ Texas Tech
Kansas State has been a pleasant surprise this season thus far. Tech has just been okay. The Fightin' John Huberts (Kansas State) will have a tough test on the road. I would like to pick the Raiders, but I just can't do it. Kansas State wins on the road.
K-State 31 Texas Tech 21

#18 Arizona State @ #9 Oregon
ASU is looking like a true Pac 12 contender, but Oregon has bounced back nicely after the loss to LSU. This game will be played in Oregon which makes a huge difference. I will take the Ducks in a shootout.
Oregon 56 Arizona State 51

Florida @ #24 Auburn
Florida and Auburn are both playing poorly. Both teams need to rebound. I see Auburn winning this game at home.
Auburn 20 Florida 13

JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
#11 Michigan @ #23 Michigan St.
Denard Robinson is a freak for Michigan. Many people are talking about the Michigan Wolverines as a BCS bowl game contender. Michigan is fantastic! But, with all that being said I'm taking the Michigan St. Spartans.
Michigan St. 27 Michigan 23

#6 Oklahoma State @ #22 Texas
Texas is a good football team. But not good enough to compete for a Big 12 title. Oklahoma St. has a good shot at a National Title. I'm going Ok- State.
Oklahoma St. 45 Texas 24

#20 Baylor @ #21 Texas A&M
Kyle Field is a scary place to play. RGIII is a scary QB. This game has potential to be a classic. I am taking Baylor in a nail bitter.
Baylor 51 Texas A&M 48

Week 6 Predictions

Hey guys! I went 7-1 with my picks last week! Lets see if I can go undefeated this week. So here are my picks...

Georgia @ Tennessee
Aaron Murray and Tyler Brey are both outstanding QBs. This game has all the components to be a fantastic game. Both teams are very evenly matched. I am taking the Vols at home.
TENNESSEE 23 GEORGIA 21

Iowa St. @ #25 Baylor
Both teams are trying to bounce back from loses. But c'mon it freakin' RGIII at QB for BU. Gotta go Bears here.
BAYLOR 45 IOWA ST. 20

Mizzou @ #20 K-State
K-State is a good team. But I have a funny feeling that they will be coming out with a Baylor game hangover. I'm taking Mizzou with the mini upset.
MIZZOU 34  K-STATE 27

Ohio St. @ #14 Nebraska
Ohio St was AWFUL last week vs Michigan State. They had absolutely no offense. The Cornhuskers will play with a chip on there shoulders after lat weeks loss to Wisconsin. I expect Nebraska to have a little fun at home.
NEBRASKA 34 OHIO STATE 13

JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
#24 Texas A&M @ Texas Tech
Lubbock, TX is a very rowdy environment to play in. Texas A&M will be dazed and confused coming into that hostile crowed in LBK. I'm taking Tech in a thriller! Upset City!
TEXAS TECH 45 TEXAS A&M 41

#17 Florida @ #1 LSU
LSU has an amazing defense and is extremely fast. Florida is playing without QB John Brantley. I expect LSU to steamroll the Gators.
LSU 27 Florida 9

#15 Auburn @ #10 Arkansas
I am sippin' the Arkansas kool-aid. But Auburn just finds a way to get it done. I am very hesitant on this pick, but the Razorbacks at home will get the W.
ARKANSAS 38 AUBURN 35

#3 Oklahoma vs. #11 Texas
Texas is just too young and inexperienced. I hope for a Texas win, but I just don't see it happening. It kills me inside to say this but, Boomer Sooner.
OKLAHOMA 23 TEXAS 20

Enjoy this weeks slate of games guys!

Week 5 Predictions

Hey guys! This is a huge week in college football. We will get vivid picture of the contenders and pretenders by the time this weeks over. I'd like to share my predictions....

Auburn @ #10 South Carolina
South Carolina has rough spots at the QB spot, but are dynamite at RB. Marcus Lattimore is a stud. Auburn is just okay all around. They aren't bad, and they aren't good. I'm going with the Gamecocks here.
South Carolina 38 Auburn 17

THE JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!
#15 Baylor @ Kansas State
Robert Griffin III has hit his stride, and so has Baylor. John Hubert (Midway High alum) is coming into prime for Kansas State. Baylor is the obvious choice, but there is something strange about Manhattan, KS. So I'm taking the Wildcats with the upset.
Kansas State 42 Baylor 41

#17 Texas @ Iowa St.
The Cyclones have improved drastically this year. But the Horns are looking good with Case McCoy. Im taking the Longhorns.
Texas 34 Iowa St. 20

Mississippi St. @ Georgia
MSU and UGA have seemed to look a little confused the first few weeks. Georgia QB Aaron Murray is coming onto the scene. UGA is too much at home.
Georgia 21 Mississippi St. 13

#18 Arkansas vs. #14 Texas A&M (In Cowboys Stadium)
Both teams are coming off tough defeats last week. I feel like the Aggies will come out guns a blazin' but ultimately lose to the Hogs.
Arkansas 41 Texas A&M 38

#11 Clemson @ #13 Virginia Tech
The Va-Tech faithful will be rowdy. Va- Tech is quick and play all 3 sides of the ball well. There is no doubt that it will be loud in Virginia saturday. All that said I'm picking Clemson.
Clemson 34 Virginia Tech 31

#3 Alabama @ #12 Florida
The swamp is loud. The swamp is scary. But the Tide will roll into Gainseville and take care of buisness.
Alabama 27 Florida 24

#8 Nebraska @ #7 Wisconsin
Wisconsin is a National Title contender. Here is when we find out if they are for real. Nebraska hasn't really done anything this year. Im going Badgers in a thriller.
Wisconsin 37 Nebraska 21

My US Open predictions

The US Open is here. And with Tiger withdrawing from the field it leaves the door wide open, and it takes away my favorite going into the tourney.

American young guns Dustin Johnson and Ricky Fowler will fair very well and make a legit run at the leader board. I also feel guys like Anthony Kim can do very well. But when it comes down to it all I feel that Bubba Watson will be taking home the ultimate prize. The American 32 year old lefty is prime for a big weekend  after coming off of the last few weekends not playing so hot. I expect a huge turn around. Bubba's got the stats in his favor. He is 2nd in total Driving Distance at 310.8 yds. 3rd in total earnings for the year. 3rd in Eagles (2 under par on a hole) at a total of 81. He is 1st in Greens Hit in Regulation at 73.8%. I feel that Bubba will EXPLODE for a huge weekend. So lets sit back and watch American Golf at its finest. And hope an American can keep the US Open cup in American soil. USA USA USA!

NBA Finals

As the NBA Finals get underway between the Mavs and the Heat I look foward to some great matchups. I would like to breakdown each matchup, and give an edge to either team.

PG- Mike Bibby (Heat) vs. Jason Kidd (Mavs) -Bibby has less pressure on him because he is in the shadow of the other Super Stars on his team. All Bibby has to do is take care of the ball. Jason Kidd is expected to play a bigger role in the Mavs lineup.
EDGE- HEAT- MIKE BIBBY

SG- Dwayne Wade (Heat) vs. DeShawn Stevenson/ Jason Terry (Mavs) - Dwayne Wade is a SUPER STAR. DeShawn is a nobody who relies on his jump shot too often. Jason Terry just sits around the 3 poin arc waiting for the ball to take a 3 pointer. Wade can shoot, rebound, defend, and get to the rim at will.
EDGE- HEAT- DWAYNE WADE

SF- LeBron James (Heat) vs. Shawn Marion (Mavs) - LeBron is the best player in this series. He can knock down crucial shots. Shawn Marion is a descent player, but he plays the role of the "background singer". LeBron will wear them down.
EDGE- HEAT- LEBRON JAMES

PF- Chris Bosh (Heat) vs. Dirk Nowitzki (Mavs)- This is the best matchup of the series. Dirk is a pure shooter, while Bosh like to post you up inside. Dirks shot is just to pretty.
EDGE- MAVS- DIRK NOWITZKI

C- Joel Anthony (Heat) vs. Tyson Chandler (Mavs)- Joel Antony is just a fill in starter. The Heat are very weak in the Center position. Tyson Chandler is a BEAST.
EDGE- MAVS- TYSON CHANDLER

Overall in the series I really like Miami's "Big 3" to get their first ring together. I see The Heat winning this series in 7.

NBA Playoffs

While the First Round is underway I'd like to give my outlook on the Playoffs and how I think things will fold out. (Sorry, I kind of cheated by getting a look at Game 1s of each series of the First Round.)

The West
First Round
#1 Spurs over #8 Grizzlies- The Spurs are a bunch of has beens but c'mon its the Grizzlies they're playing.
#4 Thunder over #5 Nuggets- Kevin Durant vs. the Star-less Nuggets
#3 Mavericks over #6 Trail Blazers- The Mavs will squeak out a way to win
#7 Hornets over #2 Lakers- Kobe Bryant is a punk! I strongly dislike the Lakers.

Second Round
#4 Thunder over #1 Spurs- The Spurs whole team is eligible for the AARP
#3 Mavericks over #7 Hornets- The Mavs are a all around solid team

Conference Finals
#4 Thunder over #3 Mavericks in 7- The Durantula gets his first NBA Finals Appearance

The East
First Round
#1 Bulls over #8 Pacers- Really? This is too easy
#4 Magic over #5 Hawks- Dwight Howard provides to much size to defend
#6 Knicks over #3 Celtics- Boston is aging. Melo and Amare get it done
#2 Heat over #7 Sixers- Lebron, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh on the same team??? I will gladly take those odds.

Second Round
#1 Bulls over #4 Magic- I'm really liking Derrick Rose's season
#2 Heat over #6 Knicks- Hey Knicks, learn to play defense

Conference Finals
#1 Bulls over #2 Heat-I like the Bulls in the best series of the Playoffs.

NBA Finals
Chicago Bulls over Oklahoma City Thunder in 6- As much as I love the Thunder. DAAAAAA BULLS WILL BE YOUR CHAMPS!

25. West Virginia- Hey, somebody has to win the Big LEast
24. Georgia- Coach Richt will have the Dawgs looking good
23. Arizona St.- Not much Pac 10 depth.
22. Florida- Hello Will Muschamp!
21. Mizzou- Blaine Gabbert gone, but the Mizzou defense will be dynamite
20. Notre Dame- Brian Kelly is feeling the Luck of the Irish
19. Nebraska- Im still confused on what kind of offensive team they are. Not in Love with the Huskers here.
18. South Carolina- No Stephen Garcia? No Love from me, although Clowney is a STUD.
17 Texas- No Muschamp, but I think Garrett Gilbert will rebound.
16. Ohio St.- Scandals, Scandals, Scandals, Lies, Lies, Lies! All they do is cheat.
15. TCU- How will Dalton's shoes be filled?
14. Wisconsin- Nobody is stopping this Wisconsin run game.
13. Michigan St.- Running Backs, Running Backs, Running Backs Galore.

MLB season predictions

As the baseball season gets under way I would like to offer some of my predictions on the season.

AL East- Red Sox
AL Central- White Sox
AL West- Rangers
Wild Card- Twins

NL East- Braves
NL Central-Reds
NL West- Rockies
Wild Card- Phillies

World Series- Red Sox over the Reds in 6

Sleepers- Astros (I know,I know I might be a little bias but the 'Stros are loaded with young talent.)
Most Overrated- Phillies (I'm really not buying into the hype, but I really think the loss of Jayson Werth will hurt them

C'mon now Zebras!

As I have been watching the NCAA Tourney I have been disappointed. The Officiating has been AWFUL!

Saturday March 19th- Butler vs. Pitt
With less than 2 seconds left Butler's Shelvin Mack fouls Pitt's Gilbert Brown. Brown steps up to the line down 1. He hits the first but misses the second. As Butler's Matt Howard snags the rebound Pitt's Nasir Robinson grabs a hold of his arm while the game was tied at 70! I just don't see how the refs can go so whistle happy at the end of the game. Im under the influence in the final seconds of a game you let the boys play.

Sunday March 20th- North Carolina vs. Washington
Washington has the ball with 5 seconds left down 3. The ball is Thrown up in the air from half court by Washington with 3 seconds left. Stupidly enough a Carolina player jumps up and tries to grab it, bouncing off of his hand at about 1.2 seconds left. But the clock continues to roll down to .5 seconds. The refs don't even think about looking at a replay, thus giving the game away to the 'Heels.

Sunday March 20th- Texas vs. Arizona
Texas has the ball up by 2 with 14 seconds left. Texas gets called for a 5 second violation. But hold on Texas coach Rick Barnes signals for a timeout at the 4 second mark left in the inbounds. The zebras don't give Texas the OBVIOUS timeout and Arizona gets the ball, converts a 3 point play and goes on to win.

Thursday march 24th- UConn vs. SD St.
After a UConn timeout a San Diego St. walks to his bench clapping due to his enthusiasm  and bumps UConn's Kemba Walker on the shoulder. Kemba Walker, being a smart player, sells it and collapses to the floor. The Aztec gets a Technical foul and the game was never the same because of a HUGE momentum switch.

The Officiating this year has been disgraceful. Get the calls right and I'm a happy fan. So C'MON NOW ZEBRAS! Get it right!

Cinderella? Eh I'll Pass

Like myself, many people enjoy seeing the "Cinderella" stories at this time in March. I love it when a 4 Seed gets upset by a 13 seed. But in my opinion, I find it to be kind of annoying as the Tournament goes on. I want to see the big boys square off. I don't want to see Morehead State vs Richmond. I will pass on Wisconsin vs. Butler. I want to see the best teams in college basketball play and fight to get a win against each other. I may be in the minority here. The tournament is set up to crown a champion. But in reality more times than not, I walk away from the basketball season saying to myself "The best team in basketball wasn't awarded the trophy."
Take last year for example. Kansas and Kentucky were clearly the two best teams in the nation. Both of these teams were praised by analysts around the country. I would have loved to have seen these two battle it out for the Championship. But Kansas got beat in the Second round to Northern Iowa, and Kentucky lost to West Virginia in the Elite 8. So instead we got a good Duke team against an average, to say the least, Butler team. It ended up being a fantastic game but I walked away hungry.
It is my belief that there is a flaw in the Men's College Basketball method of crowning a champion. The winner of the Championship in my belief does not show us a Champion. It shows us who can reel off six straight wins.

Show me the Power Houses.

March Madness is Here

The season of March Madness is upon us. To us hardcore College Hoops fans, this is almost like a second Christmas. It is one of the most riveting, and exciting times of the year. You have the usual great basketball teams squaring off, but thrown into that you've got the "Cinderella" teams. With that being said, I would like to offer some of my thoughts on this years tournament:

The Good.
The Xavier Muskateers (24-7) are a force to be reckoned with. I would consider Tu Holloway as one of the most exciting players in all of the land. I really like them to move on vs. Marquette in the first round. I also find there matchup against the Syracuse zone favorable. Syracuse has trouble with quick Point Guards.Tu Holloway will have a field day breaking through the defense. I might be crazy but I like the Muskateers to reach the Final Four.

The Bad
The Wisconsin Badgers (23-8) have some good shooters to say the least, but they just aren't getting it done for me. They come into the "Big Dance" losing 2 strait to Ohio State and Penn State. The Buckeyes completely embarrassed the Badgers in a 93-65 beatdown. They also lost to Penn St. in the Big 10 tournament 36-33. Thats right they scored 33 points in 40 minutes of basketball. Thats just embarrassing. I expect them to get bounced out to Belmont.

The Ugly
The Villanova Wildcats (21-11) come limping into the tourney losing 5 strait and losing 10 of their last 15 ball games. This is just shameful if you are a Villanova faithful. I can somewhat understand losing to teams like UConn, Pitt, St. Johns and Notre Dame. But losing to Providence, Rutgers and South Florida? Thats just UGLY. Thankfully for the Cats they started strong enough to get an NCAA tourney bid. I see the Cats losing to George Mason early.

So fill out your bracket, grab your remote, sit back and let the MADNESS BEGIN!
