Week 6 Predictions

Hey guys! I went 7-1 with my picks last week! Lets see if I can go undefeated this week. So here are my picks...

Georgia @ Tennessee
Aaron Murray and Tyler Brey are both outstanding QBs. This game has all the components to be a fantastic game. Both teams are very evenly matched. I am taking the Vols at home.
TENNESSEE 23 GEORGIA 21

Iowa St. @ #25 Baylor
Both teams are trying to bounce back from loses. But c'mon it freakin' RGIII at QB for BU. Gotta go Bears here.
BAYLOR 45 IOWA ST. 20

Mizzou @ #20 K-State
K-State is a good team. But I have a funny feeling that they will be coming out with a Baylor game hangover. I'm taking Mizzou with the mini upset.
MIZZOU 34  K-STATE 27

Ohio St. @ #14 Nebraska
Ohio St was AWFUL last week vs Michigan State. They had absolutely no offense. The Cornhuskers will play with a chip on there shoulders after lat weeks loss to Wisconsin. I expect Nebraska to have a little fun at home.
NEBRASKA 34 OHIO STATE 13

JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
#24 Texas A&M @ Texas Tech
Lubbock, TX is a very rowdy environment to play in. Texas A&M will be dazed and confused coming into that hostile crowed in LBK. I'm taking Tech in a thriller! Upset City!
TEXAS TECH 45 TEXAS A&M 41

#17 Florida @ #1 LSU
LSU has an amazing defense and is extremely fast. Florida is playing without QB John Brantley. I expect LSU to steamroll the Gators.
LSU 27 Florida 9

#15 Auburn @ #10 Arkansas
I am sippin' the Arkansas kool-aid. But Auburn just finds a way to get it done. I am very hesitant on this pick, but the Razorbacks at home will get the W.
ARKANSAS 38 AUBURN 35

#3 Oklahoma vs. #11 Texas
Texas is just too young and inexperienced. I hope for a Texas win, but I just don't see it happening. It kills me inside to say this but, Boomer Sooner.
OKLAHOMA 23 TEXAS 20

Enjoy this weeks slate of games guys!

Week 5 Predictions

Hey guys! This is a huge week in college football. We will get vivid picture of the contenders and pretenders by the time this weeks over. I'd like to share my predictions....

Auburn @ #10 South Carolina
South Carolina has rough spots at the QB spot, but are dynamite at RB. Marcus Lattimore is a stud. Auburn is just okay all around. They aren't bad, and they aren't good. I'm going with the Gamecocks here.
South Carolina 38 Auburn 17

THE JFISH UPSET OF THE WEEK!
#15 Baylor @ Kansas State
Robert Griffin III has hit his stride, and so has Baylor. John Hubert (Midway High alum) is coming into prime for Kansas State. Baylor is the obvious choice, but there is something strange about Manhattan, KS. So I'm taking the Wildcats with the upset.
Kansas State 42 Baylor 41

#17 Texas @ Iowa St.
The Cyclones have improved drastically this year. But the Horns are looking good with Case McCoy. Im taking the Longhorns.
Texas 34 Iowa St. 20

Mississippi St. @ Georgia
MSU and UGA have seemed to look a little confused the first few weeks. Georgia QB Aaron Murray is coming onto the scene. UGA is too much at home.
Georgia 21 Mississippi St. 13

#18 Arkansas vs. #14 Texas A&M (In Cowboys Stadium)
Both teams are coming off tough defeats last week. I feel like the Aggies will come out guns a blazin' but ultimately lose to the Hogs.
Arkansas 41 Texas A&M 38

#11 Clemson @ #13 Virginia Tech
The Va-Tech faithful will be rowdy. Va- Tech is quick and play all 3 sides of the ball well. There is no doubt that it will be loud in Virginia saturday. All that said I'm picking Clemson.
Clemson 34 Virginia Tech 31

#3 Alabama @ #12 Florida
The swamp is loud. The swamp is scary. But the Tide will roll into Gainseville and take care of buisness.
Alabama 27 Florida 24

#8 Nebraska @ #7 Wisconsin
Wisconsin is a National Title contender. Here is when we find out if they are for real. Nebraska hasn't really done anything this year. Im going Badgers in a thriller.
Wisconsin 37 Nebraska 21

My US Open predictions

The US Open is here. And with Tiger withdrawing from the field it leaves the door wide open, and it takes away my favorite going into the tourney.

American young guns Dustin Johnson and Ricky Fowler will fair very well and make a legit run at the leader board. I also feel guys like Anthony Kim can do very well. But when it comes down to it all I feel that Bubba Watson will be taking home the ultimate prize. The American 32 year old lefty is prime for a big weekend  after coming off of the last few weekends not playing so hot. I expect a huge turn around. Bubba's got the stats in his favor. He is 2nd in total Driving Distance at 310.8 yds. 3rd in total earnings for the year. 3rd in Eagles (2 under par on a hole) at a total of 81. He is 1st in Greens Hit in Regulation at 73.8%. I feel that Bubba will EXPLODE for a huge weekend. So lets sit back and watch American Golf at its finest. And hope an American can keep the US Open cup in American soil. USA USA USA!

NBA Finals

As the NBA Finals get underway between the Mavs and the Heat I look foward to some great matchups. I would like to breakdown each matchup, and give an edge to either team.

PG- Mike Bibby (Heat) vs. Jason Kidd (Mavs) -Bibby has less pressure on him because he is in the shadow of the other Super Stars on his team. All Bibby has to do is take care of the ball. Jason Kidd is expected to play a bigger role in the Mavs lineup.
EDGE- HEAT- MIKE BIBBY

SG- Dwayne Wade (Heat) vs. DeShawn Stevenson/ Jason Terry (Mavs) - Dwayne Wade is a SUPER STAR. DeShawn is a nobody who relies on his jump shot too often. Jason Terry just sits around the 3 poin arc waiting for the ball to take a 3 pointer. Wade can shoot, rebound, defend, and get to the rim at will.
EDGE- HEAT- DWAYNE WADE

SF- LeBron James (Heat) vs. Shawn Marion (Mavs) - LeBron is the best player in this series. He can knock down crucial shots. Shawn Marion is a descent player, but he plays the role of the "background singer". LeBron will wear them down.
EDGE- HEAT- LEBRON JAMES

PF- Chris Bosh (Heat) vs. Dirk Nowitzki (Mavs)- This is the best matchup of the series. Dirk is a pure shooter, while Bosh like to post you up inside. Dirks shot is just to pretty.
EDGE- MAVS- DIRK NOWITZKI

C- Joel Anthony (Heat) vs. Tyson Chandler (Mavs)- Joel Antony is just a fill in starter. The Heat are very weak in the Center position. Tyson Chandler is a BEAST.
EDGE- MAVS- TYSON CHANDLER

Overall in the series I really like Miami's "Big 3" to get their first ring together. I see The Heat winning this series in 7.

NBA Playoffs

While the First Round is underway I'd like to give my outlook on the Playoffs and how I think things will fold out. (Sorry, I kind of cheated by getting a look at Game 1s of each series of the First Round.)

The West
First Round
#1 Spurs over #8 Grizzlies- The Spurs are a bunch of has beens but c'mon its the Grizzlies they're playing.
#4 Thunder over #5 Nuggets- Kevin Durant vs. the Star-less Nuggets
#3 Mavericks over #6 Trail Blazers- The Mavs will squeak out a way to win
#7 Hornets over #2 Lakers- Kobe Bryant is a punk! I strongly dislike the Lakers.

Second Round
#4 Thunder over #1 Spurs- The Spurs whole team is eligible for the AARP
#3 Mavericks over #7 Hornets- The Mavs are a all around solid team

Conference Finals
#4 Thunder over #3 Mavericks in 7- The Durantula gets his first NBA Finals Appearance

The East
First Round
#1 Bulls over #8 Pacers- Really? This is too easy
#4 Magic over #5 Hawks- Dwight Howard provides to much size to defend
#6 Knicks over #3 Celtics- Boston is aging. Melo and Amare get it done
#2 Heat over #7 Sixers- Lebron, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh on the same team??? I will gladly take those odds.

Second Round
#1 Bulls over #4 Magic- I'm really liking Derrick Rose's season
#2 Heat over #6 Knicks- Hey Knicks, learn to play defense

Conference Finals
#1 Bulls over #2 Heat-I like the Bulls in the best series of the Playoffs.

NBA Finals
Chicago Bulls over Oklahoma City Thunder in 6- As much as I love the Thunder. DAAAAAA BULLS WILL BE YOUR CHAMPS!

MLB season predictions

As the baseball season gets under way I would like to offer some of my predictions on the season.

AL East- Red Sox
AL Central- White Sox
AL West- Rangers
Wild Card- Twins

NL East- Braves
NL Central-Reds
NL West- Rockies
Wild Card- Phillies

World Series- Red Sox over the Reds in 6

Sleepers- Astros (I know,I know I might be a little bias but the 'Stros are loaded with young talent.)
Most Overrated- Phillies (I'm really not buying into the hype, but I really think the loss of Jayson Werth will hurt them

Here's to a brand new season. Play Ball!
